International Procedures Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) - (Simulator)

The International Procedures Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) training will provide pilots with the opportunity to experience a realistic international flight scenario with special emphasis on flight planning and contingency procedures.  It is highly recommended that this training be done as a crew to provide the most realistic training possible. By the end of this training, pilots will be able to apply the procedures and knowledge required to safely and accurately operate in oceanic and other international airspace, while complying with both international and regional aviation regulations.

Benefits of LOFT:

  • Choose from one of five areas on which to focus your training:
    • Atlantic
    • Europe
    • Pacific
    • Latin America
    • Polar Operations
  • Challenges pilots to deal effectively with in-flight contingencies in international airspace, including ICAO Doc 4444
  • Course is adaptable to shorter range aircraft that must fly a route involving numerous stops due to the aircraft range (i.e. Blue Spruce Routes)

:  International Procedures InitialRecurrent or eRecurrent must have been completed within the last 12 months.

Course Curriculum:
  5.0 hours

  • Brief/Debrief:  2.0 hours
  • Simulator (Pilot Flying):  3.0 hours
