As a valued Client of FlightSafety International, and in order to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, we are asking for your permission to collect and use certain personal information. Please note that the information we collect is typically required in order for us to provide regulatory approved training and services.

The below personal information is the required to conduct online training with FlightSafety International:

FlightSafety International may share the above personal information, in whole or in part, with other members of FlightSafety International, to be used for the same purposes for which such personal information was originally collected, and in order to facilitate business you may wish to conduct with FlightSafety International.

FlightSafety International is committed to the improvement of data protection and as such has been working towards self-certification under the EU-U.S. Privacy-Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information transferred from organizations subject to data protection law in the European Economic Area and Switzerland to the United States, respectively. As part of FlightSafety International’s compliance initiative with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are undergoing an internal review to determine our readiness to submit our Privacy Shield application. In the interim we are required to inform you that the following cross-border transfers involving your data are likely to occur during processing and such transfers are subject to possible risks without an appropriate safeguard as outlined in the GDPR. We take this opportunity to remind you that the changes we have made towards GDPR compliance have enhanced the protection of your data and we consider these steps will minimize the risk during transfer even in the temporary absence of the Privacy-Shield certification. Until we receive the Privacy Shield certification we are obliged to obtain your consent prior to the transfers.

FlightSafety International employs a robust information security program that protects personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access and disclosure. Our Information Security Program takes into due account the risks involved in the processing and nature of the personal data and incorporates Privacy-by-Design principles. Please note that you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection and Privacy Office at dataprotection@flightsafety.com. After you withdraw your consent, FlightSafety International will cease the further processing of your personal data for the above mentioned purpose, unless FlightSafety International is entitled to such further processing under the applicable data protection laws.
